Mr. Junkin is very excited to be returning to the DCI activity as an instructor with Genesis. He marched four summers with the Phantom Regiment (2015-2018) on trumpet and owes much of his teaching techniques and abilities from the instructors who taught him there. Dillon hopes to be able to continue being an instructor in the activity, but also aspires to write drill, arrange music and even judge at some point in his career.

Mr. Junkin's goal as an educator is to set his students up for the greatest possible chances of success both in music and their everyday lives. He does this by establishing an environment of high, but realistic and attainable expectations, self accountability, and a desire to control one's own outcome. He is incredibly excited to see not only what he will be able to teach, but what he will be able to learn as an instructor with Genesis.

Outside of music and the marching arts, Dillon is an avid sports fanatic with a particular love for his home town Houston Astros. He enjoys being outdoors and traveling when possible and hopes to be exposed to as many cultures and experiences as he can.
