Member Spotlight: Jack Egger

By Sara Williamson

Jack Egger is a rookie (first year) member of the trumpet section here at Genesis Drum and Bugle corps. At 19 years old, he is currently studying business finance at Texas State University. The band setting and the hard work are what draws Jack to drum corps. He is deeply motivated by the thought of getting stronger. “I want to see how far I can push myself. I’ve always thought that my body couldn’t handle this sort of thing,” said Egger. “I want to prove myself and others wrong.”

Jack shared that his favorite part of Genesis is the friendships he has made. He says that he has already grown close with his fellow performers and plans to continue creating memories throughout the summer.
